The perfect respirator for protection
The rules and regulations surrounding health and safety at work can sometimes be a little confusing but need to be taken seriously.
Firstly, we recommend ensuring that you wear your face mask correctly. A Respirator mask that depends on the fit of your face will be useless if you have a beard or thick stubble. Every time you put on your full face Respirator mask, you should carry out a pre-use check. Always check that it is fitted according to the manufacturer's instructions, e.g. ensure that the straps and strips used to form the Respirator around the nose are correctly adjusted, then secure the mask in place and breathe in or out firmly.
If you notice any leaks around the face or steam coming out of the glasses when you exhale, you should readjust the Respirator.
Full facepiece Respirator, this ergonomically shaped dust mask provides an efficient fit and good dust protection when applying and attaching drywall lining. The valves also help to reduce heat build-up and perspiration. It can be used for aggressive sanding, drilling and water-based painting (low solvent paints only - always read the product information before use. (Solvents will eventually penetrate the carbon of the filter and the filter should be replaced when an odour appears in the mask). You can also use this mask to prevent unpleasant odours that are below the workplace exposure limit. The valve also helps to reduce heat build-up and sweating. The gas mask can be used when non-toxic painting and aggressive sanding.
We are often asked how long cartridges last before they need to be replaced. This depends on the amount of particles (dust) and contaminants in your work area - this can change dramatically, necessitating changes in a matter of hours or weeks. Obviously, the faster the cartridge runs out, the more proof you really need this level of protection! Can be used for power tools, non-toxic paints (with or without odour), for outdoor work, welding, railways, manufacturing, shooting, workshops, eye protection DIY, laboratories, chainsaw workers, cleaning, construction, deserts, designers, electricians, field work, engineers, lasers, machining, machinery, etc.
Always remember to keep the full Respirator mask and filter in a sealed bag when not in use, as the carbon in the filter will continue to absorb any odours or vapours from the atmosphere, which will shorten the life of the filter.
